Overview Hoop Lake Campground is located 35 miles south of Mountain View, WY at an elevation of 9,000 feet. It’s located in the Uinta Mountains on the shores of its beautiful mountain lake namesake. Campers are drawn to the area to boat and fish in the lake and to hike or horseback ride on the many trails. Recreation This off-the-beaten path area is a kind of recreationists paradise, with boating and fishing in Hoop Lake, more fishing in nearby Beaver Meadow Reservoir, and trails galore.
