The byway cuts through the Uinta Mountains, which are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. Recreation Recreation opportunities are nearby for fishing, hiking, backpacking, and ATV trail riding. Access to High Uinta Wilderness hiking trails is nearby.
